天高云淡，望断南飞雁。不到长城非好汉，屈指行程二万。六盘山上高峰，红旗漫卷西风。今日长缨在手，何时缚住苍龙？

（译）长空高阔白云清朗，南飞的大雁已望着飞到了天边。不登临目的地绝不是英雄，算下来已征战了二万里的路途。六盘山上高峰挺拔，烈烈的西风吹卷着红旗。现在革命的武装正在共产党的领导之下，哪一天才能打倒国民党反动派？

The sky is high, the clouds are pale,

We watch the wild geese vanish southward.

If we fail to reach the Great Wall we are not men

We who have already measured twenty thousand li

High on the crest of Mount Liupan

Red banners wave freely in the west wind.

Today we hold the long cord in our hands,

When shall we bind fast the Grey Dragon?
